‘The Quad’ Canceled at BET After Two Seasons

BET has Canceled their scripted HBCU series, “The Quad” after 2 seasons.

BET just confirmed the news today, saying the series about an HBCU struggling to stay out of bankruptcy is officially kaput.

It looks like all the on-screen sex scandals thrown into the mix didn’t help, because the show dipped in ratings this season.  Each episode had an average of 553,000 viewers, 30% lower than last season.  Still, the show had developed a loyal following with a strong social media buzz surrounding it.

Folks are already going off about the cancellation, so we’re sure there’s going to be plenty of hurt feelings around BET getting rid of another show once folks fall in love with it.

Were you watching “The Quad”? Are you pissed about the cancellation?
