I did not know that expressing a woman’s natural body as it grows in pregnancy was a crime?
Well according to one waitress it was enough to deny one woman entrance into her Restaurant.
Charisha Gobin who is seven months pregnant with twins was told that she could not eat at the “Buzz Inn Steakhouse” in Marysville, Washington, with her family Sunday night. Wearing a black crop top T-shirt and a long skirt.
Why? all because she was wearing a black crop top T-shirt and a long skirt.
The server said that Gobin had violated the “no shoes, no shirt, no service” policy and anyone wearing a crop top would have been asked to cover up.
“The waitress/bartender stopped us and said, ‘I’m sorry, you can’t be here in that shirt.’ I said, ‘Are you being serious with me right now?’ And she said, ‘Yep, you can’t be here,’” Gobin said.
She continued, “Just because my belly was bigger and sticking out. But had it been anyone else, I don’t think there would’ve been any problem whatsoever.”
Once the incident happened, Gobin took to Facebook to share a picture of her stomach letting the world know what had happened.
Since the post went public, it has been shared well over a hundred times.
The restaurant has since apologized saying, the server had been there 20 years, they said, and “was trying to use her best judgment.”
“Our bodies aren’t just toys, they’re for a purpose and I think it’s a beautiful purpose,” she said.
