Kanye West Reportedly Leaves Jay Z’s Tidal Over Money Dispute

Seems that the feud between Kanye West and JAY-Z appears to have intensified, with West pulling all of his music from Tidal, the online streaming service set up in 2014 and which artists such as JAY-Z and Beyonce were stakeholders in.

Sources close to Kanye West say the rapper has left Jay-Z music streaming company over money he’s owed, which is supposedly upwards of $3 million. Kanye’s lawyers allegedly sent documents to Tidal over a month ago, claiming that the company was in breach of contract and that Kanye’s obligations therein were terminated. Legal teams on both sides have tried to work things out behind the scenes, but to no avail.

The decision to leave Tidal reportedly predates all the Kanye bashing that goes on in 4:44, Jay’s new album that is available only on Tidal until some point this coming week, where it will expand to other streaming services. Kanye claims that his album Saint Pablo resulted in more than a million people signing up for Tidal and that he was due a bonus that was never paid.
