Just a few days ago, I told you the story of Makeva Jenkins, a successful entrepreneur from Florida who was murdered in her own home, just hours after she made an inspirational Facebook post explaining her journey from being homeless to making six figures.

The successful mother’s murder has been quite baffling to social media users everywhere but now there’s speculation that her husband, Euri Jenkins, may have hired someone to enter his home and kill his wife. Some of her Facebook posts have led people to believe that he may have killed her for insurance money. A Staged Murder?: Although the speculation has yet to be confirmed or denied, there are reasons why people are giving Euri the side-eye. It all started with the CBS News interview the day after Makeva was murdered. Euri reportedly held his wife after she’d been shot in the head but he didn’t seem as distraught as most people would have expected despite the traumatic series of events that occurred inside his home.

Apparently, a masked gunman reportedly entered the home around 1:30 a.m. and forced Makeva, Euri, their children, and a family friend upstairs. Somehow, they convinced the gunman to let the children leave. While they were forced to lie facedown, Makeva was shot in the head, but Euri was unharmed. He held his wife as she died from the gunshot wound. “I held her in my arms, she was alive” said an emotional Jenkins. “I will never forget.”

The gunman fled the scene in their car and abandoned it near their home. To many, the entire story raises speculation. Then to make matters worse, Euri was reportedly spotted at a strip club called Flash Dance the night after his wife was killed. In addition to the seemingly questionable interview, there was a Facebook post Makeva shared weeks ago that also raises speculation. She urged others to invest in life insurance for the sake of their family members. Since she adamantly urged others, Facebook users assumed she had insured herself for the well-being of her family, which would establish a disturbing motive for her husband. He’d stand to capitalize off her death. Euri has been described as a struggling barber who Makeva relentlessly tried to help get his life together. His actions are definitely speculative and Facebook users are speaking out.
