Stephen Curry has agreed to a five-year, $201 million extension, the richest contract in NBA history.
Curry—a two-time MVP and winner of two of the past three NBA Finals—had been the 82nd highest paid player in the league, playing on a four-year, $44 million contract signed when there was still concern about his ankle injuries. Curry was the top-ranked free agent going into the NBA offseason, but there was no chance he was leaving Golden State.
