Comedian Katt Williams Accepts Plea Deal

Comedian Katt Williams reached a plea deal in a long-running case against him on Monday, pleading no contest to a felony count of second-degree robbery, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.

In exchange for the plea, Williams was sentenced to three years of formal probation. The comedian was also ordered by a judge to complete 54 weeks of anger management classes.

Monday’s plea deal stems from a Sept. 2014 incident, during which Williams stole a camera from a female photographer in Beverly Hills.

Former rap kingpin Marion “Suge” Knight, who’s currently awaiting trial on a murder charge, has also been charged in relation to the incident, though his case is currently pending.
