I have a sample of Fort & Manle's Amber absolutely, which is the most powdery fragrance I have ever experienced. It's a quite vintage plum/blackcurrant/rose take on the typical amber. The powder doesn't seem to be ionone-based. At least I don't pick up any ionones. It seems more kind of powder caused by the contrast between sweet (vanillin, benzoin, fruit sec, tonka, PEA) and sharp/dry (lilial, cassis base, cedar, vetiver, citronellol)
