I rarely (read never!) post threads of this nature.. but after a period of being apart I'm going to be Reunited with my girlfriend for Christmas and I just cannot Decide what to wear when I pick her up at the airport! I've been puzzling and browsing through my collection to no avail. I wouldn't post this thread only I'm lost - I'd just rather someone else decide for me! :grin:
I don't mind what I wear after she returns.. I can simply ask her.. or get the smelling strips out and let her sample and choose fragrances for me that we both agree on.. it's just I want to get something perfect for he moment I'm reunited with her and I'm having difficulty making my mind up. I want to wear something special but I literally can't decide on anything.. I thought where better to ask for suggestions than my friends on Basenotes.
As to her tastes, I know she likes fresh scents, she's a little older than I am, she grew up in the 90s around freshies like Acqua di Gio etc and I think I remember her saying she likes sweet scents a few times too.. while I never wear them around her but I don't think she'd be into any fragrances that are too masculine. I don't think animalic fragrances, or overly heavy woodsy/oudy scents would be her thing.
I'd like to avoiding overly formal fragrances also, I was thinking I'd be best wearing something relatively casual, something that most people will at least enjoy, but at the same time a little bit special. Preferably something from my wardrobe also, that would be great as I don't think I'll have time to order any more bottles in before she gets here in 48 hours. Anyone got any suggestions?
