I started a thread on scents with a Poppy note way back in 2013 and it was
generally decided that poppies don't lend themselves to perfumery as they
smell of very little save a hazy, indeterminate earthy/sappy note.
There are many perfumes listed over on Fragrantica, which have poppy as one
of their notes:

I think on November 11th (Remembrance Day here in the U.K.) I will wear a "poppy" scent
to show respect to those, who gave their lives so we might enjoy ours.
