Have you really thought about the Lighting you select for your home or are price, durability and colour  your main considerations. Lighting can create such a difference to the look and feel of any room. Lights  can be subtle, decorative or even an art form in themselves. There are a few things to consider when choosing lights.

• What is the purpose of the light - is it a mood enhancer, to soften a room's lighting, is it functional or purely decorative.
• What style of light fits into your interior?. It can be interesting to mix things up but putting a rustic light in a contemporary room or similarly an industrial light into a soft coastal environment will stand out for all the wrong reasons but be bold and try something new.
• Consider the reflections created by your light - turn lights on, consider the direction and how they cast light. How this will impact your room with no overhead lights?

Lights shouldn't dominate a space but instead should enhance a space. A well Chosen light is a thing of beauty and really makes a difference to a room. I've chosen a few that caught my eye on a recent ramble around town.
