Pantone's Colour of the year for 2015 is Marsala 18-1438, described as being enriching for mind, body and soul exuding confidence and stability. Wow bit of a tall order for a shade! 

This is not the first time this colour has been around the block and in fact a more reddish hue became really popular back in the early 2000s. Marsala does have a more burgundy hue to it which adds a touch of elegance and class but as with all string colours it is best to use as a statement piece in an interior or as colour to accessorize a room.
