Thames Valley Police, attending the scene near Waddesdon, said there were two people in each aircraft when they collided at around midday on Friday.


Superintendent Rebecca Mears said on Friday night that informing the next of kin and supporting them with specialist officers is a priority.


Investigations at the scene are expected to continue through the weekend and into Monday morning.


"We did a joint response with the fire service, ambulance and now the Air Accident Branch is working with us for a joint investigation while we establish the cause of the crash," Supt Rebecca Mears said.
