Banana Pancakes | Flourless, high protein recipe

Have your [pan] cake and eat it too with this easy-to-make breakfast, under 350 calories.

Banana pancakes breakfast

Take the leap towards lower carb eating, starting with breakfast. These flourless Banana pancakes are a favorite at my weight loss camp. Super high protein with healthy, fresh ingredients. NOTE: below nutrition information is for the pancake base only – you will need an added fat to round out this breakfast nutritionally, such as using butter to fry the pancake or topping with yogurt.

Per serve: 235 cals, 22 g net carb, 8 g fiber, 12 g sugar, 31 g protein, 0 g fat.

Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 1 banana

  • 3 eggs whites or 1/3 cup mix

  • 1 scoop protein powder

  • Toppings of choice

Directions

In a bowl, mix the ingredients, mashing banana with a fork. It should be smooth consistency, like batter.

Place a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. Slowly add the batter in the pan forming 5 inch diameter pancakes. Cook gently on each side. Repeat until you have cooked the whole batch.

Top with fresh berries or any fruit (pineapple is delicious!), yogurt or maple syrup.

Why it’s sooo good!

Don’t let the flourless recipe intimidate you… this Banana Pancake Recipe is insanely delicious. Sweetened simply with only a touch of vanilla from the protein powder, and a taste of banana. The 3-ingredients mix together well to create a savoury base, for you to add desired toppings. And of course, no flour means it’s gluten free, naturally!

Making high protein pancakes like these are a great way to enjoy the benefits of consuming whole eggs. Many people find eggs tough to eat, or get ‘egg’d out’ with toast variations. This banana pancake recipe hides the egg taste.
