Sometimes dark, sometimes funny, always lavish, Amadeus is a lush and vibrant film. It tells the story of Salieri, a talented court composer who admires Mozart as having divine talent. A pious man, his love turns to obsessive hate when he meets Mozart and finds that God has gifted a man who is selfish, foppish and a bit of a fool. He sets out to ruin Mozart. Based on real events, though fictionalised, watch the video below for my review.
