Trump’s travel Ban Halted by federal Judge | Judge Grants Immigration Order an Injunction – A federal Judge in Seattle on Friday granted a nationwide temporary restraining order blocking President Donald Trump’s recent executive order stopping nationals from seven countries from entering the United States.

The Judge named James Robart, was appointed by former President George W. Bush and he presides in Washington State.

“The Constitution prevailed today,” Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson said after the ruling.

Judge Grants Immigration Order an Injunction

It was a great ruling victory, even as the Washington AG, Ferguson, added that “No one is above the law — not even the president.”

Furthermore, Ferguson said that “This ruling shuts down the president’s executive order immediately — shuts it down — so people can travel like they did before“.

This Suit was brought by the states of Washington and Minnesota after they filed a lawsuit seeking to halt the travel ban enacted by Trump’s executive order.

The seven affected Muslim-majority countries are Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. CBP told major US airlines Friday night that the government is reinstating visas and is “back to business as usual” prior to the situation that was in place before Trump last week’s executive order.

Airlines are expected as soon as Friday night to start removing travel alerts from their websites and getting messages out to customers to alert them about the change.
