5 Publications That Want to Check Out Your Indie-Pop Release

If your indie project is a little more mainstream and can easily cross genre lines, then you will want to check out these five publications (that are also websites). These magazines review new Music and do interviews with upcoming indie bands. The vast majority of music related article and reviews from these sites fall into the rock, pop, alt-rock and indie-rock or indie-pop categories.

As always, have your electronic press kit updated and follow the instructions provided by each site for submitting music. Do your research and if you think the fit is good, send an Email to two. Good luck!

Blurt covers it all! They even have a new jazz section. Look through their website, check the contact page. Your invited to contact the writer who you think has the most in common with your project!

Write an email and describe your sound and your band. They actually want to forward you project to someone to actually listen to it! Lots of their staff still prefer CDs and vinyl…be prepared to send them something before you reach out!
