Walt Disney Company created a buzz this week when they revealed the final cast list for their Live Action Remake of the iconic Lion King movie, which will premier in 2019 and Lemonade hit maker, Beyoncé, is leading the pack as the Voice of Nala. Additionally, the legendary star studded panel also features Atlanta star Donald Glover (as the voice of Simba), world renowned South African actor John Kani (who will voice the wise and mystical Rafiki), Alfre Woodard (as Sarabi), James Earl Jones (as voice of the fierce and fallen leader Mufasa) and Chiwetel Ejiofor will voice the villainous Scar. The side-splittingly comical pair Timon and Pumbaa will be voiced by Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner.
As the yearlong rumour was finally put to rest the Bey Hive, of course, went into pandemonium flooding social media with amusing meme’s depicting their reactions when they heard about Queen Bey’s role. Looking at this stellar cast and Disney’s undisputed first ever live action remake, the Jungle Book (another epic kid’s favourite), it’s safe to say this classic film will surely be a box office banger come summer 2019. Indeed it means no worries for the rest of our days, it’s a problem free philosophy. Ha kuna mathata!
