While dozens of celebrities and athletes donate millions of dollars to charity organizations in the devastated metropolis of Houston and other southeastern regions of Texas, more dollars continue to pour in. Houston born mega superstar Beyonce’ has lead the pack by making a large personal donation worth $7 million (and counting). In addition, her BeyGOOD Foundation has teamed up with Houston based organizations; Greater Houston Community Foundation and Bread for Life to assist the affected. Queen Bee’s generosity was preceded by sister Solange Knowles who announced  that she will be performing in a special “Orion’s Rise “ show in Boston and all proceeds will be directed towards Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Meanwhile, comedian Kevin Hart enlisted the help of his rich roster of celebrity friends (which features the Kardashians, Niki Manaj, Jennifer Lopez and T.I.) to pledge funds through his #kevinhartchallenge, which raised over $1 million dollars. More stars like Drake, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Dwayne Johnson, Rita Ora, Tyler Perry and many more have, in this past week, shown support to those affected by Harvey by using their brands for the establishment of relief effort initiatives that raise awareness and funds.
