A new series based on the glamorous life of our favorite over-the-top diva, Mariah Carey, is currently in the works at Starz.
According to Deadline, Carey will be executive producing the show with Golden Globe nominee, Stella Bulochnikov.
The show will follow “the rise of an ambitious bi-racial 16-year-old girl, an aspiring singer-songwriter who survived a difficult childhood to become the biggest selling female music artist of all time,” according to Deadline.
Mariah Carey catapulted to diva-hood in the 90's by having five consecutive Hot 100 No. 1 hits, starting with “Vision Of Love,” “Love Takes Time,” “Someday,” “I Don’t Wanna Cry” and “Emotions.”
The series comes after the songstress appeared in her own E! docu-series, “Mariah’s World,” which followed Mariah’s extravagant day-to-day life.
