It was a long journey to get here.
And here, from the top of the building, I see the people down there. They look like little ants. And the lights are little fireflies.
I look up at the sky, and I see the fireworks.
No matter how high I am, I'm not on top of the world. My hands can not Reach the flaming lights up there.
But the laughter of people down there can reach me. I can hear them breaking my lonely silence.
My path is not over, but it will not continue the way it was before. Today, my life lines will be renewed in the palms of my hands.
I take a sip of my drink.
One step into the abyss.
So begins my new year.
