Examinations are a mean of judging or knowing the ability of students. Good results in examinations are taken as a sign of knowledge and ability. they also determine the efficiency of the whole learning process including the efficiency of a teacher.No one can deny the importance of examinations. It is said,

Trials are a veritable curse. But they have their use.

First, they supply us a solid proof of the fitness of the fitness of a student for the higher class. Secondly, in order to get a job, the candidate's university or board degree or certificate shows the proof of his acquired knowledge. thirdly, in the absence of examinations and degrees, no one can make a difference between a scholar a dullard. Most of the people without a degree or diploma are considered to be having little or no knowledge.

Fourthly, the fear of examinations makes us work. Many careless students become serious near the examinations. thus exams are the most effective way of forcing student to study. There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work learning from failure.

Examinations may be a source of pleasure for a few brilliant students but are a necessity for an average student bring for majority of them. It is a thing that a student hates the most. He usually compares the examination, to a nightmare. The value and importance of our examinations has become less in the last few years. It is said ,

Most of the students taking examinations depend upon some parts of their courses to pass. The students getting degrees after passing these examinations feel that they do not have enough knowledge of their subjects. Corruption in our examination is a major drawback. The sanctity of an examination depends on its secrecy, peaceful conduct, fair conduct, fair marking and correct tabulation of the results. Unfortunately, most of these processes are doubtful in our country.

Out examination system encourages the very bad habit of cramming. They are the test of memory rather than of intelligence or knowledge. Luck and chance play a great role in all examinations, Intelligent students may fail, dullard may pass just because of luck. but the failures must never forget the saying.
