Ghana gave a very disappointing performance at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. After this, Kwesi Appiah decided to kick off the backroom staff. But, the Normalisation Committee of the Ghana Football Association does not wish to approve his proposals.

In his post-Afcon report, the trainer of Black Stars said that he is not in favor to keep on working with a number of people. Mentioned in his report were team manager Stephen Appiah, assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko, team Doctor Najau Issah and goalkeeper’s trainer Richard Kingston.
In the report he presented, Kwesi Appiah suggested repleacements for the respective seats. They are as follow, Charles Kwabla Akonnor, Dr Prince Pambo, Sabahn Quaye and Najau Issah.
Appiah now gave NC the report for one week but for some reasons, they are not likely to approve his request.
However, the issue will be reconsidered by NC will on Thursday.
At the 2019 AFCON, Ghana was knocked out by Tunisia at the last 16 stage.
