Mexico has cautioned the United States that imposition of tariffs on Mexican products will affect the economy of both countries and can bring Bad Consequences in terms of illegal immigration.
Earlier, US President said via Twitter that Mexico can control the influx of people and drugs to their country. At present, officials of the United States and Mexico are gathered for talks. US President, Donald Trump is on state-visit of United Kingdom.
Mr. Trump announced to implement 5% duty on Mexican products from coming week. Each month will see a 5% increase in duty until it touched 25% in October if Mexico didn’t control the illegal immigration on the southern border.
Meanwhile, Mexican officials told that they are trying hard to stem the flow of migrants. Many of people want to reach the US to apply for asylum. Foreign Minister of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard reported that we are struggling hard to tackle the issue. He further threatened of bad consequences that if they do nothing to stop the influx of migrants than a quarter of a million migrants will enter into the United States.
US Commerce Secretary has conducted a meeting with Mexico’s Economy Secretary to address the issue of illegal immigration. The last figure suggests Mexico the 2nd largest supplier of goods to the United States.
