Thunderstorm kills one, abolishes houses Kanshegu in the Savelugu

The rainstorm destroyed properties of thousands of Ghana cedis and caused over 200 people to strand

A 60-year-old lady kicked the bucket on the spot, while her little girl and her grandson maintained wounds, when the house in which they lived crumbled on them amid a rainstorm that hit Kanshegu in the Savelugu district in the Northern Region last Thursday night.

The expired, recognized as Sanatu Mohammed, has since been covered as per Islamic convention.

Sanatu’s girl, Abiba Issah, 28, and her grandson, Salifu Issah, two, are accepting treatment at the Savelugu Municipal Hospital.

Assembly member, eyewitness

The Assembly part for the Nyolo Electoral Area in Savelugu, Mr Adam Mahama, affirmed the episode to the Daily Graphic.

He said more than 120 individuals at Kanshegu and Duko, likewise in the discretionary territory, had their structures harmed amid the overwhelming downpours and were at present enduring relatives and companions.
