Now, Amd Adrenalin Edition has been on the rampage for some while and whereas the latest drivers did bring some performance boosts and improvements for hardware such as the RX 580 and what not, there appeared to be a problem with the earlier DX9 games too. The older games are not supposed to run by using the latest drivers and due to the reason that these are old gems, people have been truly pissed.

Initially, a rumour circled around that AMD had left support for the Earlier Titles but afterwards it got resolved by AMD that the company has been doing work so as to solve a problem and that the fix is supposed to be there in the latest update for AMD Adrenalin Edition. Doing what they have stated, AMD Adrenalin Edition 17.12.2 has now been presented and the problem with DX9 games not running has also got resolved.

This is New Year’s first driver update and AMD has been rather speedy regarding it, the thing that seems always to be good to be coming from a company upon which such a big lot of people depend. However, you won’t get to play these games without having any problems what so ever:

• C & C3 Tiberium Wars
• Battle for Middle-earth 1 and 2
• C & C4 Tiberian Twilight
• C & C3 Kane’s Wrath
• Mini ninja
• The Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition
• C & C Red Alert 3
• C & C Red Alert 3

All these games are truly great and this has proven to be the key factor why the people have been that much troubled and the first reply that has come from AMD has not been all that that great either, thus there came out some deduction about the problem. Nonetheless, at this time when the problem has been solved, you can play all of these earlier titles without having any hiccups. This is quite a wonderful beginning to the New Year from AMD, we all can hope that the remaining year goes as scheduled too.
