South Africans students organization wants to raise drinking age

A leading student organisation in South Africa has requested that age restriction on drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes  should raised from 18 to 21 years.

The Congress of South African Students (Cosas) said in a statement that two substances ‘make it hard for young people to achieve academic excellence’. It also contributed towards students dropping out of school.

People below 21 years of age who smoked or drank alcohol should prosecuted and also given harsh sentences. This is because they seek to destroy the future of South Africa. So if we increased the age then it would be better for the future generation.
