Ms. Justice Sophia A. B. Akuffo, the Chief Justice of Ghana, on Tuesday urged attorneys to manufacture their ability so as to approach the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights with certainty and learning in the standards of methodology.
“As lawyers inspired by the act of the law in respect to human and people groups’ rights, a training that requires enthusiasm and devotion. We have to learn, know and comprehend the tenets of technique of the African Court.
“This is on the grounds that the quest for the cases of our customers may not end with the choice of the summit court, consequently, bundling and arraigning the customer’s cases must consider the likelihood that one day the cases may relocate to the African Court,” Justice Akuffo expressed at a workshop to manufacture the limit of attorneys on the tenets of system under the watchful eye of the African Court in Accra.
The workshop being composed by the African Court Coalition (ACC) in a joint effort with the Greater Accra Regional Branch of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) is to class Ghanaian legal counselors on the African Court and its work, complementarity between the African Commission and the African Court, accommodation of cases and acceptability, statute of the African Court, and authorization issues.
The Chief Justice whose discourse was perused for her sake by Justice Anthony Kojo Yeboah, a Justice of the High Court likewise prescribed for an open, unhindered and quick access to choices and proposals of the African Court and national zenith courts.
