Mugabe to meet the army chief soon

Zimbabwean president Mugabe is expected to meet the chief of army soon. Its crunch time both for the ousted president Mugabe and for the country as political dilemma is on a very high.

Mugabe is under house arrest at the moment as is allowed limited or no movement.

The governing Zanu-PF party leaders will also hold meeting to decide the fate of their founder.

The army took over the governmental affairs and forced out Mugabe as he sacked his deputy Emerson Mnangagwa.

Mr. Mugabe preferred his wife Grace over Mnangagwa as his successor.

Mr. Mnangagwa is likely to be reinstated as the vice-president as soon as the party members agree to do so.

“Enough is enough, Mugabe must quit” was the slogan on one of the play cards been displayed by people, thousands in number, who rallied around the streets of Zimbabwe to celebrate the army take over.

Overwhelming percentage of Zanu-PF party members want Mugabe to step down.

Mr. Mugabe has resisted resignation so far as he says he will negotiate and won’t succumb to pressures.

Army is of the verdict that it’s that international pressure which paved the way for their action.

Mounting public sentiments against Mugabe and the dismal state of the country’s economy could be the bottom line factors in determining the fate of Zimbabwean president.
