National Communications Authority (NCA) says, the world is fast growing towars 5G and Ghana must put in measures to operate 5G.

Therefore, NCA is considered to be the motivating force behind telecommunications to boost high speed coverage in Ghana.
Principal Manager in-charge of the Legal Division of NCA, Robert Apaya, urged telecom industry professionals to adjust to a new era of interconnectivity in accordance with NCA protocols.
He was speaking to media after a workshop to sensitize on dealership licensing and equipment authorization.
Mr Apaya has also warned telecom operators In the meantime, to fulfill the guidelines of the NCA on the erection of telecommunication poles especially not at closely populated areas to avoid unwanted health effects.
5G simply stands for 5th generation. It refers to the next and newest mobile wireless standard that is based on the IEEE 802.11ac standard of broadband technology. This technology is an extension of 4G at presently some telecommunication and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are operating.
