Yup, it happens. Sometimes an actor gets cast as a superhero more than once, and not because they’ve joined a franchise. Since April 27 is National Superhero Day, we’re calling out these seven actors who have been on the big and/or small screens as more than one notable comic book or just plain ‘ole super hero.
Let’s start with the most obvious of them all: Chris Evans, 35. Just when Chris’ career as an actor was really starting to take off he was cast alongside Jessica Alba as The Human Torch in 2005’s Fantastic Four. Two years later he reprised the role in Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer, but his flame was put out shortly after. Just six years after the first Fantastic Four movie, Chris was cast as the one and only Captain America for 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger. He has since reprised the role of the Cap six times… with more to come!
Ryan Reynolds Played Deadpool (2016) and The Green Lantern (2011)
Halle Berry played Catwoman (2004) and later played X-Men’s storm four times starting in 2000.
Chris Evans first played The Human Torch in Fantastic Four (2005 & 2007), then became Captain America in 2011.
Before becoming Batman in 2016, Ben Affleck was known as Daredevil (2003).
You know her best as Black Widow in ‘The Avengers’, but Scarlett Johanasson also played ‘Ghost In The Shell’s Major (2017).
Aaron Taylor-Johnson was Kick-Ass ( 2010)
before he was Quicksilver in ‘Avengers:
Age of Ultron’ (2015).
Last but certainly not least we have Stephen Amell,
who stars as the Green Arrow on the CW,
but has also played ‘TNMT’s Casey Jones.
