The controversial musician, Kwaw Kese once again appeared on social media and confessed that he sold some of his VGMA awards.
He also disclosed the reason behind his act by saying that the most celebrated award is gradually losing its position. According to him, he sold his awards for GHC2, 500 with the exception of the Artiste of the Year award which he said was nailed at GHC250, 000, way too high for interested buyers.
He also clarified that he is not selling awards in fixed price. He sold them depending on the condition in which the awards were. He added that the awards that were present good condition benefited him more comparing to crack once.
While protesting against the management flaws he said that:
‘There is a huge question mark against the awards because it appears the eventual award goes to whoever publicly criticizes the scheme. Some years ago, Shatta Wale publicly criticized the scheme and he received awards the next year.’
He also illuminated the fact that the gospel community threatened to boycott this year’s awards and suddenly they have a gospel artiste winning the ultimate award.
Although he highlighted the major issues but it’s up to fans that they will agree to his justification or not.
