Panic at NY’s Penn station after rumors of Gun Fire Left 16 injured. Terrified crowd tried to make its way out of the train station resulting in stampede and injuries. No casualty has been reported so far.

The false news spread on Friday evening of gun firing at NY’s underground tube station made people leap out of the building. The station was nearly choking with people so the incident resulted in injuries to 16 people.

Police says no shots were fired, the similar sound was of a policeman using stun gun on someone.

The station was crowded because of delays in the scheduled timing of the trains. Thus false news incited more fear and panic.

The hospital sources says that 16 injured had been brought for treatment and none of them is serious.

NY Mayor tweeted and confirmed that no shots were fired on or around the Penn train station.
