President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has lamented over the dangerous effects of the gas Explosion that rocked Labadi in the Greater Accra region. This bad incident occurred on Thursday evening which left five people dead and 12 others severely injured.

The system says the death toll from the explosion could go up as numerous homes nearby were also damaged.

In short, after the explosion, Nana Akufo-Addo on Facebook to express his condolences to the families of the bereaved, and prayed for the injured immediate recovery.

Nana Akufo-Addo said the latest explosion has brought to the fore the need to relook at where gas filling stations should site, as well as make sure the enforcement and devotion to safety regulations.

He stated that It is about time we take a second look at the citing of gas stations in our country, and make sure the strict enforcement of, and devotion to safety regulations, so as to forestall the incidence of any more of such avoidable incidents.
