There have been rumors for many days that the Nokia X7 will be launched as Nokia 8.1 in the global markets. Now, as per a recent report, Nokia brand smartphone maker HMD Global may launch Nokia 8.1 in India on November 28. Also.

HMD Global has not yet revealed anything officially for a launch event later this month. However, a report from 91Mobiles citing industry sources claims that the Nokia 8.1 is coming to the Indian market. To recall, the Nokia X7 was launched in China last month and it comes with mid-level specs and a similar design to the Nokia 6.1 Plus.

Nokia 8.1 Price

As per the report, the Nokia 8.1 price could be around $340. This price tag could be for the top-end 6GB+128GB variant. As the Nokia X7 was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 1,699 ($245 approx.) for the 4GB+64GB model.

Nokia 8.1 Expected Specifications

If we talk about specs, the Nokia 8.1 could sport a 6.18-inch FHD+ display with a notch on top and HDR video playback support. The phone will have a glass back just like the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The smartphone could be running stock Android 9.0 Pie.

In terms of hardware, it will be powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 710 10nm processor with Adreno 616 GPU. It will be further paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The internal storage will also be expandable up to 400GB with microSD.

The phone is expected to sport a dual rear camera setup with ZEISS optics comprising a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.4μm pixels, and a 13MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. It will have a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and AI beauty, AI portrait modes.

Connectivity options might include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. The device is expected to pack a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support.
