"Late Night with the Devil" (2023): Heeeere’s Lucifer!
Picture a second-rate rip off of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, circa 1977. That’s what we get in real time in the demon-possession horror romp “Late Night with the Devil”.
Seems the folks at Night Owls with Jack Delroy are desperate to depose the long-reigning “King of Late Night,” the inimitable Carson. So much so that this do-or-die team is willing to throw all caution to the wind and host the first-ever live television broadcast of the exorcism of an evil spirit.
What could possibly go wrong? After all is conjured and crucified, one whole hell of a lot.
In the end, these time-honored words of caution from Aesop’s Fables reverberate strong and eternal…
“Be careful what you wish for, lest it come true.”
