“Skinamarink” (2022): You likely won’t Like it
Think “The Amityville Horror” on a shoestring budget with intentionally grainy video and vintage cartoons on VHS set to jaunty old-timey jazz and you’ve got the confoundingly creepy skull-screw “Skinamarink”.
Is this a house haunted beyond the unspeakably heinous? Or could it be a little boy’s Nightmare playing out as horrifying illusion?
Either way, or even neither way, I can’t say that I recommend this fantastically frustrating cum freakishly fascinating fable of a family in the grips of gruesome unseen.
But I’ll spare you the excess pontification.
Still, I’m kinna proud I endured it ‘til the enormously eerie eclectic end.
I know. Makes about as much sense as this macabre mindfuck of a movie.
