Filmmaker Lucía Forner Segarra |
What happens next is an angst-torchedagenda of revengeso visceralandbizarre it is difficultfor words to do justice. But not near as wholly wrenchingasitis for a woman to process the trauma of sexualassault. And then to strugglelike hell to emerge as a functioninghuman being.
Thais Blume: A ferocious force as Diana. |
Diana does this. Man, does she ever. This enraged crusader touches off a global movement of sisters in arms rising up against those who wantonly and viciously violate a woman’s body and spirit.
Some may find this story to be at least bordering on the preposterous, if not fully immersed in such. While others will look upon it as entirelyplausible.
Generally not one to waffle, I’m not so sure which camp I settle into.
I only know this.
Never, never, question the fierce resolve and innate toughness of a woman.
To do so is not only to live in ignorance.
It is to blindly embrace denial.
