Established in 1989, CDAC is engaged in design and deployment of world class IT and electronics solutions in Multimedia Technologies, Health Informatics, Cyber Forensics and Security, Multilingual Technologies, Professional Electronics, Software Technologies. The main focus of the institute is to train the students in electronic design and technology by providing them a variety of training programmes. The centre offers high-end courses like M.Tech in VLSI as well as ME in Electronic Product Design Technology (EPDT). Other courses are designed for knowledge based skill development. It also offers courses for foreign participants, sponsored by MEA under ITEC/SCAAP programs.

As part of the mandate given to C-DAC, Mohali to generate manpower to address the growing demand for trained manpower in the extremely fast moving sector of Electronics & Information Technology C-DAC, Mohali has established its ACSD (Academic & Consultancy Services Division). ACSD has been providing high-end training in the field of hardware and software, running M.Tech programmes along with its Research and Development activities in various fields viz., Electronics Product Design & Technology (EPDT), Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Design, Embedded Systems (ES) and Information Technology (IT).

How to get into C-DAC?

The admission to the M.Tech programmes shall be on the basis of GATE Score and who have passed B.Tech/B.E with atleast 50% marks in aggregate.
