The Republican Party of America officially nominated President Donald Trump in the Upcoming Presidential Election in November, and in trump's first statement warned against electoral fraud by his rivals, declaring it "the most important in the history of the United States."
US President Donald Trump on Monday warned against attempting to "falsify the upcoming presidential election" as "the most important in the history" of the United States.
He made the announcement in a speech to the Republican Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Trump, nominated by Republican delegates on Monday, said the only way the Democratic Party could win was by "rigging," according to the local al-Hurra website.
Trump arrived in Charlotte, where he participated in the first day of the Republican Convention, which he officially nominated for a second term.
Trump said in his speech that the elections were "more enthusiastic" than his supporters, expecting "a bigger crowd than last time."
The Republican president pledged to continue to support the U.S. military if he wins a new term, citing his administration's efforts over the past years to provide the military with weapons and equipment.
He said his administration would initiate tax deductions for companies that create jobs within the country, and pledged to "impose customs duties on countries that are trying to exploit us."
Trump also showed his support for law enforcement, following calls for a budget cut, saying he would "continue to support them and make new appointments."
He noted that his administration has made significant achievements in "criminal justice" and providing support to African Americans "more than that of former President Barack Obama."
On China, Trump said his administration had made great efforts to counter it during the first presidential term.
"We will never forget what they did" with regard to the coronavirus outbreak, he said, noting that without the early actions taken by his administration, the number of cases would have increased further.
Trump is running for president, Joe Biden, the former vice president.
Earlier Monday, Republicans renamed Vice President Mike Pence as a candidate for his current position.
"The United States needs Donald Trump to stay four more years in the White House," Pence said in a brief speech.
