There are two ways you can get your same-day Dental implants. One of the processes that the dentist can perform is an ‘immediate denture’. First, the dental technician will take an impression of your teeth two weeks before your scheduled tooth extractions. The position of your gum after your teeth are removed is estimated by the dentist.

However, in this type of procedure, the bone and gum can significantly change. It can change shape and shrink for the first three months after extraction. This type of denture never really fits perfectly and you usually end up needing a new one after a few months.

There is a second, more advanced method. It is usually called ‘All-on-4’ or ‘All-on-6’. This is an implant treatment where we restore all, if not most of the teeth. A surgical guide helps to digitally-plan the placement of the dental implants. The technician adjusts a denture-like restoration that has already been prepared, in just a couple of hours. This denture-like restoration is permanently attached to your implants.

This is a fixed denture that you don’t have to remove, so you walk out with great looking teeth and your confidence restored!
