How to Plan the Ultimate Holiday in the Philippines

If you wanted to visit a metropolis, you would choose a city like London, New York or Beijing. If you wanted to go on an adventure, you might Explore the Amazon or climb Machu Picchu. But if you are looking for sun, sea and sand, you must choose an island nation. And the Philippines is the perfect destination.
However tied to the city you are, there is something about lying on warm sand, listening to the waves and soaking up the sun. The Philippines is the ultimate destination for getting off-grid and giving your brain real time to relax. But, if you really can’t cope with a week without social media, email and your favourite apps, you can find details for travel wifi in the Philippines before you go.
Make the Most of the Islands
The Philippines is made up of 7,641 islands so there are plenty of beaches to choose from and explore. The Calamian Islands, which are to the north of Palawan, are some of the most popular with adventurers and Beach-lovers alike. The area is ideal for kayaking as well as diving and walking if you fancy leaving the beach and heading into the mountains.
Moving between the islands is a good way to catch a bit of a breeze and see as much of this paradise as possible. The boats range quite dramatically in size from liners that carry 4000 people to smaller wooden boats called bangkas that can be hired for the day - ideal for snorkelling and diving.
Love the Sea
It is impossible to visit an island nation without falling in love with the sea. The Philippines is well-known for its popular dive resorts and you can put a snorkel on pretty much anywhere and see something wonderful. If spotting fish and rolling with the waves is for you, then the Philippines will probably fulfil your criteria for a dream holiday!

There are plenty of dive sites to choose from and several UNESCO world heritage sites to explore too. While the Philippines is certainly well-known for its wide variety of fish and sealife, you will probably be surprised by the number of wrecks around too. Okikawa is a particularly cool site for wreck divers with 11 Japanese ships, all sunk in 1944.
Bake on the Beach
The beach is, naturally, one of the main draws of the Philippines and there are plenty of beaches to choose from. One of the most popular beaches, Nacpan Beach, offers 4km of soft sand to while away the day and, next door, its twin, Calitang Beach hosts a wide range of seafood restaurants.

But being the most popular isn’t everything and there are plenty ofbeaches to explore from tiny coves to long sandy stretches lined with palm trees. Caramoan is one of the most striking beaches with large rocks pointing toward the sky.
The Philippines is an amazing country and the perfect place to explore the beach and the sea. All you need to do now, is pack your sun cream and swimsuit - that’s all you’ll need for this trip.
