"Head Above Water" - Avril's Strong Story

"Tell Me It's Over" Released: December 12, 2018
One thing I love about her songs is you can truly feel her pain and happiness within her songs. "Head Above Water "is the upcoming sixth studio album. With her two singles released in the last month, has been n01 on the worlds top tunes! In less than 2 days she hit a woo-ping 3 million views!
"Head Above Water" Released: September 19, 2018
Head Above Water” is a dramatic piano ballad of resilience that takes thematic inspiration from Lavigne’s recovery from Lyme Disease.
In (September 6), the 33-year-old explained to fans her reason for laying low
"I’m so excited to finally be able to announce the first single off my new album along with its release date," she began the emotional letter. "Five years have gone by since I released my last album. I spent the last few years at home sick fighting Lyme Disease. Those were the worst years of my life as I went through both physical and emotional battles. I was able to turn that fight into Music I’m really proud of."I wrote songs in my bed and on the couch and recorded there mostly as well," she added. "Words and lyrics that were so true to my experience came pouring out of me effortlessly. Truly... by keeping my spirits up, having goals to reach and a purpose to live for, my music helped to heal me and keep me alive."

singles that precede it, "Tell me its over" is stunningly arranged, swirling a steady beat, long acoustic strums and yelping vocals that refract the mischievous glow of you. With the pain of her marriage, and dating back to the 70s/80s style.
Robin Murray -" of Clash complimented the track's production and deemed it " highly personal note."
As most of you know I am a huge Avril fan. Her new album caught my eye and I would like nothing more but to share my review with you.
This "Head Above Water " album sums up the entire release- With music she wants to play, regardless of reception. Having styled in her own skater land of pop rock and keeping to her enjoyable pop rock theme.
She grasps the fool quality – the power of her voice. The angst-ridden teenage listeners who were alienated by her apparent conversion to pop with the release of her 5th album will recognize the slightly more gritty aspect to her earlier music returning here; it’s clear that Lavigne has been through a process of experimentation and discovery with her music.
Her album is ready to pre-order!
