This Miami-based New York-based editor’s packing list is next level

There are a few places in the United States that I can visit again and again. Miami is at the top of the list and I’ll be the first to admit that I can be a harsh critic when it comes to visiting other cities. I’ve traveled to Miami more than any other city in the past three years and every time I get ready to go I get more excited than the last. It’s an extremely popular travel destination for New Yorkers considering it’s only a short flight, you can leave in the morning and be there for lunch.

Some call Miami New York’s 6th Ward because it’s also the first place we run to when the long winters seem endless, our seasonal depression becomes a problem that can only be solved with a trip to the Beach. This weather crept in about two weeks ago for me and my friends who love Miami as much as I do, so we packed up and headed to South Beach. I was especially excited about this trip because we are all staying at the Eden Roc Miami Beach, one of my favorite hotels in Miami. Besides being absolutely beautiful, it’s in a great location to everywhere we wanted to go, but the property has its own restaurant, Ocean Social (where I enjoyed the best brunch and frozen drinks) and of course Nobu Miami is also located there. My friends and I had to stop for crispy rice and lychee martinis, it was so good I would put it up for my death row meal.
