“The Coolest Thing You’ll See All Week” features Ryan Adams and Elton John performing a brazen, badass version of “Rocket Man” at Elton’s 2002 Oscar party at the since-closed Moomba Restaurant in West Hollywood.
You’ve never heard Elton’s 1972 classic burn the house down quite like this. Adams adds a raucous, rough edge to the song as he channels his best Neil Young in his gunslinging guitar play.
It must have been awfully cool to be in the room for this throw-down!
