Take a look at the 5 shortlisted Entries for the New Senate Building in Fort Bonifacio.
BCDA invited several architecture offices to submit their credentials to be evaluated for the shortlist. The competition started around January and shortlisted companies were announced last March. For this period the chosen companies have posted their video presentations of their entries for public evaluation.
Entry A: Leeser Architecture

They are the only ones that posted a step-by-step deriviation of their scheme and diagrams however they failed to think that most of the people who will watch this are non-designers and the process will not be appreciated by the public.
Entry B: Aidea

They are the only Filipino company included in the list. The process they went through is interesting and tedious but the execution didn’t fully translated the process, the building ended up looking like any other structure in Middle East.
Entry C: Aecom

They are a familiar name in most of BCDA competitions. Their video is one of the easiest to understand. Although their design looks like a mixture of both ZHA and BIG, it is different because most of it was derived from aspects of tropical design.
Entry D: Henning Larsen

They used a common Filipino concept which for others may look banal but it definitely connects to the public. Their design is also very iconic and greatly applies tropical design, however the construction industry might not be able to level up to this structure and if this project got the bid, without a good contractor and a sufficient budget this building might look like a schematic building block with texture windows in sketchup.
Entry E: Pelli Clarke Pelli

Their design looks functional with a bit of an inspiration from Green School in Bali but with those wooden columns made out of reinforced concrete or tubular steel due to the moisture that will definitely destroy the wooden columns.
