Realism is a genre in painting that test the strength of an artist and aims to deeply understand and capture its subject. It avoids exaggeration and flamboyant techniques, making it experienced by bigger spectrum of audience.
The Drawing from life exhibit is formed by Cebu based Artists that aim to highlight the ar t realism movement in the country and to help people understand that albeit the scene seems easy and unchallenging , achieving its simplicity and flawlessness takes a lot of effort and time to do so.
The exhibit highlights activities, emotions and personas that a typical Filipino commoner see or do. Among the exhibits are paintings about life on the shore, farmin g, children playing, life of street ven dors and a lot more.
