Let me just say a few words about the company. It got me worried when I couldn’t find the official website. But still, you can contact them directly through Amazon. What’s in the box?

When this package arrives to your doorstep, you get a big box. In it you will find just two things: an AW Pro 1/3 HP Twin-Cylinder Airbrush Compressor and the instruction manual. So, if you aren’t so sure about something, there’s no shame in checking the manual, it’s there to help you.

Dimensions and features

This airbrush compressor along with its tank has the dimensions 13-3/4″ L x 5-3/4″ W x 12-1/5″ H and weighs around 16 pounds (7.3 kilograms). When compared to other compressors of this type, this is considered to be lightweight. The unit is also easy to carry around due to its practical built-in handle.

The compressor is run by 1/3 horsepower motor which gives enough pressure and air volume of 1.3 CFM and provides smooth performance of the two twin pistons.

The twin pistons are powerful due to the precision forge which makes completing airbrush tasks easy, convenient and done fast. Despite the twin design, the compressor consumes less power.

It has an auto stop and start that provides power saving and reduces the motor heat. It also maintains the pressure that is enough for working with most airbrushes. The power saving mode has two options: auto start mode begins at 3 bars and stops at 4; the second one stops at 7 bar max. In addition, the maximum power mode is around 100 PSI.

The one-gallon air tank is a perfect match for most of the airbrush jobs.

A nice little touch are the rubber washers that protect the working surface from metal scratches.

The unit uses a 6-foot US-standard 120-volt power cord and has the noise level at around 59 decibels.

Another great thing to have in mind is that this compressor has the CE, ROHS certificate which guarantees high-quality. You have to love the ones with the certificate, right?! The compressor is easy to assemble and disassemble (if you’re a curious type of person) and safe to use.

User review

First, I have to say I am very skeptical about the companies who don’t have a website or any reference on the search engine. But in my opinion, everyone deserves a chance. The product has good features and I decided to check them out and see if they are true.

At the first glance, the unit looks powerful and well-built. I like things that make a good first impression. It worked perfectly right out of the box. I was surprised since I am used to do some tightening up before first usage. In high pressure mode it delivers up to 1.4 cfm at 100 PSI max, and in the standard mode it delivers between 43 to 58 PSI. This is more than enough and it’s quite great too.

I can’t very say that it is quiet, but it isn’t loud. I mean, it won’t damage your hearing, but still you can hear it working. It vibrates a little bit, but I think that’s because of the two pistons. Oh, and it doesn’t take walks around the room! I appreciate that! It’s enough that my dog walks around the room. While working, I had a good and constant airflow without cutting off, which is also great.

Another good thing is that at 20 PSI it takes about 30 seconds of constant airflow before the compressor kicks back on. I have used and tested a lot of compressors, but this one seems so beautifully made and it accommodates two airbrushes with such ease.

For the price given, this is something awesome. Compressors like this cost more than 300 dollars and this is far less. Yes, it isn’t a Paasche, a Master or a Sparmax, but still it is definitely worth of your attention. I believe this is a once in a lifetime purchase, and it won’t let you down.

To conclude

When comparing the performance of the AW Pro 1/3 HP Twin-Cylinder Airbrush Compressor with others on the market, you can see that this one is the optimal one. The operation is smooth, with good airflow and it doesn’t disturb the people who you live with. To be honest, the compressor is made to be durable and there’s no mistake in this purchase. Not to mention the price that is more than affordable.
