Let's check in with Ted and Lori and see if they killed it as first time murder mystery hosts of Jazz Age Jeopardy. They had friends from both of their workplaces, and many guests did not know one another until they entered The Cat's Meow Jazz Club!
Our hosts said:
Parking is limited where we live in town, so we had a mature teenager dress the part and be the chauffeur to shuttle guests from where they parked to our house and back after the event was over. He did an excellent job playing the part, opening the car doors for them and walking them to our door. It was a huge hit with our guests!
For first timers, Ted and Lori sure had some great ideas about how to get everyone into the swing of things from the moment they arrived. There was a room with a fully stocked bar that featured a variety of alcohol and mixers for everyone to enjoy.
Some of the wonderful decor helped set the mood with black and gold decorations and dim lights. Music was played throughout the house to add to the ambiance.
Ted and Lori also had a room where all the food was laid out, and another room decorated as The Cat's Meow Jazz Club which had a backdrop for pictures and a blackjack table. There were even separate bathrooms for Old Sports and Doll-faces.
Menu highlights include pasta and shrimp cocktails. Dessert was mini lemon cakes and mini pineapple upside down cakes. Guests also brought an appetizer or dessert.
The feedback we have received since the Jazz Age Jeopardy party tells us we killed it and that made all the time and expense worth it! We have already decided this will be an annual event and are thinking about our next year’s theme!
For first timers, Ted and Lori did a wonderful job with their Jazz Age Jeopardy party! Their guests had a roaring good time, the decorations were spectacular, and the food and drink were to die for. We can't wait to hear about your next event.
