The first thing that should hit you when you open up an email from a restaurant is a tempting offer to entice you to make a visit them but at the same time welcome you without shouting or begging.

I always am intrigued by top quality photographs of the food which should have your stomach rumbling and lips drooling over the food selection making you want to make a purchase, this is vital for a food establishment to include when they send out an Email Campaign.

The second item on the list is including a voucher to tempt you to visit their restaurant, as they are asking you to come visit them as opposed to a email from Amazon for example where you can order your product from the comfort of your own home. So by offering a voucher or a using a reward system you can mention this in your email and using a unique reference for each email measure the success of email campaign then review these over time.

If you notice the first email from Zizi, the offer you 20% off all food, another offer below this asks you to recommend this offer to a friend and you both get £10 off and with every friend you introduce you get another £10 off. This is a great idea to promote awareness of their brand to a new range of customers that might be outside of their reach, in doing so the word of mouth would promote more customers to use their reward system which I think is really clever.
