Ford Model A tow truck turns Mike and Frank’s heads in American Pickers

This week American Pickers’ Mike and Frank heads to Indiana where they go weak at the knees for some very special Fords, specifically a Model-A Tow Truck. The Ford Model A was the follow-up to the Model T and was a huge seller for the motor company, with production taking place from 1927 through to 1931 and with nearly 5 million vehicles in various shapes being produced. It was the first time Ford used a standard control layout with a clutch, brake and throttle similar to other manufacturers.
